Motor Vehicle Section

The Driving Licences have been computerized and digitized through the standard national level software of NIC namely "SARATHI" with the technical support of NIC, Port Blair.

The Registration details of Vehicles (2wheeler, 4wheeler etc.) have been computerized & digitized through the national level software of NIC namely "VAHAN" with the technical support of NIC, Port Blair.

"STALL software" for simulating Learners Licence (LL) through desktop computers
has been implemented.

The Smart Card based Licence has been implemented.

The issue of Permits to Vehicles has been computerized & digitized through the specialized software developed by NIC, Port Blair namely "SARAL".

The SARAL has been integrated with the Vahan application.

counter based services porvided to the Citizens to avail the computerized services at Directorate of Transport, Port Blair, around 15 counters have been established for this purpose.
State Transport Service

AAdvance booking of seats available for the bus services has been implemented at
all STS unit in both district of South Andaman and North & Middle Andaman.

Online position of bus ticket available for the bus services disseminated at STS Mohanpura through large screen based
Display Information System.

The entire details of Driving Licences issued is made available in the website of A & N Administration for public access.

The entire details of Vehicles Registered, Vehicles Permits issued for all vehicle is made available in the
Website of A & N Administration for public access.

TThe Website provide a single window interface to the Citizen offering all details that have been computerized across the various organizational units of the department in an integrated manner.
National Register

ThThe Directorate of Transport has been connected to NICNET through a dedicated leased
Line with NIC, Port Blair and then on to NIC, Chennai and to NIC New Delhi.

The Oracle Data Interchange (ODI) has been established in this network to
synchronize the transaction for data originating at the DOT with the state register at NIC, Chennai and National register at NIC ,New Delhi.

With this step the details of Driving Licences and Vehicles Registrations are made available for public access in the
National Portal of Ministry of Surface Transport, Govt. of India developed and
maintained by NIC, New Delhi.

The ODI facility is automated i.e. the data get synchronized at NIC ,New Delhi automatically at specified time daily without manual intervention.
